With a calm and inviting atmosphere, PILATES  HOME STUDIO K. offers a small studio space that feels like an extension of your home.
Although small in size the studio is well equipped with original equipment crafted by Canadian company MERRITHEW™.
You will be provided an exclusive and individualized Pilates experience in an intimate studio atmosphere.
No matter how you choose to train, on the Mat, with Pilates equipment, or with a mix of both
PILATES  HOME STUDIO K. is designed to offer everything in one place



A one-on-one session ensures that your individual needs and goals are met.

Private One-on-One sessions can be Matwork only or Matwork and Equipment Based Pilates utilizing original STOTT PILATES® Equipment such as a Reformer, Cadillac or a Split-Pedal Stability Chair™

These sessions are highly recommended for new clients and are the best way to progress your Pilates practice.

One-on-one sessions can be held in my Home Studio or in the comfort of your home or venue of choice (Matwork only).



You want to share Pilates with a friend or family member?

Semi-private sessions are Mat Classes which offer the same individualized training as my one-on-one sessions, but you have the opportunity to work with a partner.

Duet sessions are more effective if both participants are at the same level.

Semi-private Mat Pilates sessions can be held at my studio or your venue of choice.


Private Pilates group work is a great way to do Mat Pilates if you have friends or family to join you.

For a minimum of 3 and up to 8 participants the class is still very intimate with ample time to have the teacher all to yourself for a while.

My name is Karin M. Kutnar-Griehsnig and I am a STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructor for MATWORK & REFORMER, CADILLAC, CHAIR & BARRELS as well as a POLESTAR® Pilates, Certfied Matwork Instructor.

I am also trained to teach Total Barre™, a high-energy, ballet-inspired program focusing on strength, flexibility, stamina and dynamic stability and ZEN•GA® a unique mind-body modality that fuses elements of Pilates, yoga, martial arts and meditation into a series of flowing movements.

The STOTT PILATES® Injuries & Special Populations (ISP) Training equipped me with the ability to work with clients who are facing various physical challenges (e.g. clients with injuries and special target groups such as pre-or post natal, obese, teenage and older clients etc.) in order to help them developing a safe and and appropriate Pilates program.

Please note that as I am not a health practitioner (i.e. Physical Therapist, Physiotherapist or similarly recognized health care professional) I am not prepared to diagnose or treat any specific injuries or conditions.

I strongly believe that Pilates offers huge benefits for people of all walks of life and fitness levels and I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others.

I am available for private Pilates Training at my PILATES STUDIO K. Home Studio in Jingan District, Shanghai and for Private One-on-One and Group Mat Pilates classes at your venue of choice.

I also teach Mat and Equipment Based Pilates at THE ORANGE ROOM Wellness Center in Hongqiao, Shanghai.

Classes are available in English as well as German!

With the Cardio-Tramp™ Rebounder - a horizontal trampoline - you can easily add a cardiovascular dimension to your Pilates Reformer programme.
A padded footplate is attached to the end of the reformer bed and with the addition of spring tension at various levels, it allows you to jump without the risk of heavy impact on the joints.

There is lots of abdominal work to strengthen the core and at the same time you can challenge the deep stabilizing muscles of the foot as well as those in the ankles, knee and hip joints. 
With intervals of plyometrics you will burn more calories and workout potential for all exercisers is increased – from post-rehab clients to elite athletes.

“I was lucky enough to be able to attend Karin’s Pilates classes, at least once a week, during the two years I spent in Shanghai. Prior to my time in China I had taken my exercise in the form of running and aerobic activities but decided to try Pilates as a way of meeting more people. My initial thought was that I would not really find the pace of Pilates to be to my liking but how wrong I was!
